A spectacular sight, certainly. And very well exposed too: not too bright and not too dark, with the colours necessary for the surreal atmosphere well visible throughout the photo.
Still, it does not hit me as much as I think it could have. I think the composition plays a big part in that. This particular scene is a dead ringer for minimalistic photography, which means composition plays an extra important part, since you won't have much else to play with. It'll be your vision and frame that needs to knock us dead. The building on the left, obviously the main focus of your composition, is not as definitive as a subject should be. It almost seems to fall out of the frame and has too little connection with the other elements, except for the cranes on the horizon.

I'd recommend to play around with minimal compositions some more and get a feeling of what is appealing. For example, you can get your feet wet with still-lives that you can control and compose.
